Tamarind Juice:

 

  • 4 tamarind pods
  • 3 tbs of volcanic agave or date syrup
  • 4 cups of spring water

 

Step 1 – Shell the tamarind and scoop out the pulp.

Step 2 – Soak the tamarind pulp in 2 cups of warm spring water for 5-10 minutes.

Step 3 – Add the pulp, water and sweetener to a blender and blend gently.

Step 4 – Strain the mixture through a clean white cloth white napkin or cheesecloth.

Step 5 – Add the other 2 cups of water, serve chilled and enjoy!

Ice Tea Blend: Raspberry, Chamomile, and red clover!!

Add 1 TBS of each herb in 1/2 gallon of spring water and heat on medium high for 20 minutes. Simmer for 20 minutes and strain.  Add date syrup to taste then chill or drink chilled no sweetener.

Isoflavones

Red clover contains significant amounts of compounds known as isoflavones. They are chemically similar to estrogen and therefore have effects similar to those of estrogen. The specific isoflavones in red clover that provide the greatest health benefits include irilone and pratensein.

A 1998 study published in Proceedings of the Society for Experimental Biology and Medicine analyzed the mechanism of action for red clover extract. It showed that they are estrogen agonists since they bind to the estradiol receptors in mammalian cells.
